Lung Cancer Foundation Partnerships

The Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation is committed to preventing lung cancer through education and research. It was founded in 2002 by the Labrecque family in honor of Tom's memory. At the age of 62 the former Chairman of Chase, a non-smoker, died from lung cancer. Tom's family and friends initiated the Thomas G. Labrecque Classic, "Run as One" event, with the hopes of raising lung cancer awareness and vital research dollars to find a cure. In 2007, the Labrecque Foundation partnered with Canary Foundation to create the Canary Lung Cancer Program. This program is aimed toward developing effective and cost-effective blood biomarker and molecular imaging tests for early detection of lung cancer. For more information about the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation visit www.tglclassic.com or call 212-651-6420.

Pancreatic Foundation Partnerships

The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research is committed to advancing scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer. The Foundation's formation was inspired by Marc Lustgarten, a pioneer in the cable industry and chairman of Madison Square Garden, who died at the age of 52 after battling pancreatic cancer diagnosed at an advanced stage. Since its formation in 1998, the Foundation has moved toward supporting larger scale pancreatic cancer research projects, including sequencing of the pancreatic cancer genome. The Lustgarten Foundation has partnered with Canary Foundation to build blood-based assays for candidate biomarkers for early detection of pancreatic cancer as part of its Pancreatic Cancer Biomarker Development Project. Ovarian Foundation Partnerships

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition - NOCC

Canary Foundation has received an initial grant in support of research from NOCC. Since its inception in 1995, the national Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) has been committed to raising awareness of ovarian cancer in communities across the country through education and support. As the first and only national ovarian cancer organization with a network of more than 80 Divisions throughout the United States, NOCC has established itself as the leading advocate for patients and families struggling with ovarian cancer. Committed volunteers work together to advance NOCC'S mission through a toll-free Help Line, comprehensive web site, peer support, professional education, the promotion of research, publications and Break the Silence, a national education program to facilitate greater awareness and dialogue about ovarian cancer. For more information about the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, visit www.ovarian.org or call 1-888-OVARIAN.
