We underwrite the majority of our operation costs through pro bono work, sponsorships, volunteers, and the Founder’s Fund. Please give generously.
The Founder’s Fund is an unrestricted account allowing us to fund emerging research and operations.
Gifts to the Founder’s Fund are unrestricted and support unmet program needs such as new initiatives, communications, events and technology investments. Five percent of any gift of $10,000 or more is directed to the Founder’s Fund.

Make a Gift of Securities, IRA Rollover, or Insurance Annuities
Gifts of Securities is a savvy giving option. Here’s why:
- You are able to deduct the full fair market value of the security on the day it is given.
- You avoid all capital gains tax if you have held the security long term.
To donate a gift of stock, or an IRA contribution, please email donate@ canaryfoundation.org for instructions.
Another savvy option is IRA Rollover Gifts. Qualified IRA gifts are not subject to percentage of adjusted gross income (AGI) limitations for charitable contributions and are not reportable as income for federal income tax or for Social Security income purposes.
Insurance Annuities
There are a number of methods for including life insurance in a charitable gift plan. Please contact us for more information.
Matching Gifts can be a great way to double or even triple your donation to Canary Foundation. Many employers offer matching gift programs and will match any charitable donations made by their employees.

We accept vehicle donations (cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and other recreational vehicles) regardless of their ability to run and/or pass a smog test. Donating your old vehicle to Canary Foundation is convenient, safe, easy and may qualify you for a tax deduction.
